#DilloalPapa Becomes Popular on Twitter

Right after the announcement that the pope Benedict XVI started his own twitter page @Pontifex, Italian fans, followers and ironical commentators have started and joined a new parallel channel called #dilloalpapa where everybody can make comments or send messages related to the pope.
The “Dillo al Papa” fever is spreading fast and sarcastic comments are invading the twitter page with any kind of discussion.
While the actual identity of the pontiff on the official twitter channel remains uncertain, #dilloalpapa is becoming a real cult in the virtual community.
Facebook opened a homonymous page, last Thursday, to keep the track of all the comments.
