Grammy-nominated Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante will be performing on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the new Logan Center for the Arts on 915 E. 60th Street.
The concert is presented by the Latino Music Festival and University of Chicago Presents, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago.
A pre-concert talk will take place at 6:30pm led by Robert Kendrick, Professor of Music and Ana Sánchez-Rojo, graduate student. The concert will begin at 7:30pm.
From La Scala to Carnegie Hall, from Disney Hall to Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Fabio Biondi and his internationally renowned ensemble are acclaimed for their revolutionary, passionate performances and celebrated for their Baroque and classical interpretation on original instruments. Their Four Seasons CD sold an astounding 500,000 copies worldwide.
This concert features music from the Spanish court in vogue during the early part of the 18th century when Baroque music knew no boundaries. Program includes works by Vivaldi, Couperin, Corelli and other Baroque masters.
